Will Iverson be elsewhere by February?

Last year at this time, Jermaine O’Neal, Mike Bibby and Shawn Marion were among the big names considered most likely to be dealt by the trade deadline. (Bibby and Marion were indeed traded in February, while O’Neal’s move came after the season.) This year, Allen Iverson could be the headliner on that list.
Iverson is in the last year of his contract (worth $20.8 million), and the Nuggets — after five first-round playoff exits — are retooling and tightening their payroll, a process that began when they unloaded starting center Marcus Camby. In an interview with the Rocky Mountain News, Iverson acknowledged the possibility of a trade and also expressed disappointment that Denver didn’t respond to his interest in signing a long-term deal with the team this summer.
