Yankees interested in Jake Peavy.

Even as they pursue free agent starting pitchers CC Sabathia, Derek Lowe and A.J. Burnett, the Yankees could also have an eye on Padres’ right-hander Jake Peavy.
FoxSports reports the Yanks and Padres have had “numerous discussions” about Peavy, according to a Major League source. The Braves recently announced they were pulling out of trade discussions for Peavy.
With Peavy having a full no-trade clause and expressing a strong preference to stay in the NL according to agent Barry Axelrod, a trade to an AL club could get complicated. The Cubs remain involved in trade speculation regarding Peavy, but that could end if Chicago is successful in re-signing right-hander Ryan Dempster.
FoxSports also lists the Angels as a possible AL destination for Peavy.

Would love to see him in a Mets jersey but that won’t happen. Honestly, the Yankees would be smart to trade for him. I hope my Mets can get a nice hitter.
