Arsenal wins Manchester United

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had asked his team to pick up its game following the criticism it received for losing to Stoke last week and failing to beat Fenerbahce in the Champions League.
That call was heeded by Nasri in the 28th minute when he struck a low shot goalward after Dimitar Berbatov failed to clear an Arsenal corner. The Frenchman’s shot took a deflection off Gary Neville’s outstretched leg inside the box and flew past Edwin van der Sar in the United net.
Wenger’s men had been booed by their own supporters after the scoreless draw with Fenerbahce, but were applauding their side when Nasri volleyed through a sea of players in the box past Van der Sar to double the hosts’ advantage two minutes after the break.
United dominated the remainder of the second half but had to wait until two minutes from time to pull one back through Rafael da Silva’s first goal for the club.
They searched for an equalizer in the six minutes of added time, but Arsenal held on to claim the win which sees it leapfrog United into third in the table.
