Sean Williams, who escaped prosecution on criminal charges in Massachusetts just 12 days ago, was arrested in a Denver-area mall yesterday for allegedly throwing a computer monitor after an altercation with a store clerk.
The 22-year-old New Jersey Jets forward was arrested at about 2 p.m. at the Park Meadows Mall after a verbal fight inside an AT&T cell phone store, according to a statement from the Lone Tree police.
The monitor was broken and a printer and signature pad were damaged at a cost of $1,200 to $1,300.Police arrested Williams on suspicion of disorderly conduct and felony criminal mischief.
“The Nets have been made aware of a police incident this afternoon involving Nets center Sean Williams,‘ Vandeweghe said in the statement, according to The Associated Press. “We are currently looking into the details surrounding the incident, and since it is an ongoing police investigation, we will have no further comment.”
